Obviously if you plan to stay in and play poker all day, you won't have much need for a car. Getting a taxi to take you between casinos or to a restaurant is easily done and fairly cheap. But, if you plan to venture out and explore, then you should definitely consider reserving a rental car. With the Hoover Dam, Mt. Charleston & Lake Mead all within a 40 minute drive, having a rental car to come and go as you please will be quite handy.
